Crosing the Jordan

Joshua parts the Jordan River by using the Ark of the Covenant. God stops the flow of water across the Jordan river to let the Israelites cross safely into Jericho. Joshua then intructs one man from each tribe to pick up a stone from the riverbed as a memorial of this miraculous event. Once the other side of the river was reached, Joshua and his men renewed the covenant of Abraham.
