Hophni and Phineas, two sons of Eli, use the Ark has a good luck charm and bring it to battle against the Philistines. Their lack of faith in God makes the Israelites lose and leads to the Ark getting stolen. When Eli hears the news about the Ark being captured, he is in such shock that he falls off his chair and dies. When the Philistines have the Ark, they place it in the temple of their god, Dagon. The precence of the ark leads to the statue of thier god falling down twice and all sorts of chaos. It becomes so bad that the Philistines return the Ark.
